– Nationally Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Patsy Werts is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping families understand and optimize their child’s health. She earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Florida State University and her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of South Florida.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Patsy worked in various inpatient pediatric settings, where she discovered how empowering it can be for families to understand their child’s health and disease processes. Growing up in a home that often relied on natural remedies sparked her early interest in holistic approaches to healthcare. During her graduate studies, a clinical rotation with Dr. David Berger further inspired her interest in pediatric functional medicine and a well-rounded, holistic approach to care.
Patsy joined Wholistic Pediatrics & Family Care in 2015. She continues to expand her expertise through conferences with MAPS (Medical Association of Pediatric Special Needs) and NAPNAP (National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners). Through functional medicine, she helps families address chronic and acute conditions by optimizing nutrition, reducing toxic exposures, and exploring natural treatment options for common pediatric illnesses. Patsy has a special interest in supporting children with ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, adolescent health, and helping families achieve breastfeeding success.
