– Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

in my interview Having early in life personally experienced chronic autoimmune disease and cancer I learned that traditional medical approaches were not as effective in an improved level of health and happiness. Often, instead, a diagnosis of chronic disease results in declining health and energy, which I personally refused to accept for my future. That is, at least without a fight.

Seeing firsthand the limitation of traditional medicines approach to chronic disease, I extensively researched and studied science-based strategies. I found effective strategies that addressed the root causes of disease and declining health rather than the approach which had been failing me of managing my symptoms. These strategies led me on my healing journey to regain the health and vibrancy I had lost.

Even after knowing what I needed to do, I met many roadblocks in my quest to implement these science-based healing strategies. I realized the great difficulty in finding nonjudgmental, caring, knowledgeable and open-minded, out of the box providers, who could facilitate and empower me toward my goals. This is why I strive daily to be this type of provider for my patients.

Through postgraduate training in metabolic-nutritional medicine and an integrative medicine residency, I have had the pleasure of learning from expert providers to utilize nutrients, exercise, hormones and other disease prevention strategies to help clients achieve optimal health and happiness in their daily lives. I have had extensive training in biotoxin illness including mold, Lyme disease, and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).   Also, many long COVID symptoms have similarities and are improved by similar treatments. I am honored to have the privilege to share this information with my patients. You can learn more about my approach in my interview on the Pain Free for Life podcast.
