Julia Tuleneva is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained a Master’s of Science degree from Long Island University and her Bachelor’s Degree from Wagner College, Evelyn L. Spiro School of Nursing.
Julia joins us with extensive newborn experience and a passion for helping both children and adults live healthier lives.
Prior to becoming a part of our team, Julia worked at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Pediatric Department. Prior to that, for four years she served as a staff nurse in obstetrics in the postpartum unit where she often rotated between pediatric, NICU and Labor & Delivery. In addition, she is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Julia recently relocated to the Tampa area with her husband and their 5-year-old son. They enjoy exploring and spending time together as a family. She also loves hot yoga, cooking, and spending time on the beach.
Julia will be implementing WPFC protocols under the guidance of Dr. Berger and Nurse Practitioners, Catherine Nutting and Patsy Giarda. Her focus will be on preconception through infancy care and adult wellness, though she is being trained on all of the treatment approaches that we do here.
Nurse Practitioners diagnose and treat illnesses, and are able to order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions. NPs have a focus on wellness and preventative care and like to work in partnership with their patients, just as our current providers do.
